Thurrock academy boosts foodbank with huge supply donation
AN ACADEMY has been helping support struggling families.
Quarry Hill Academy children and staff handed over supplies to Thurrock foodbank.
The academy collected goods for the harvest festival collection.
A spokesman for Thurrock Foodbank said: “Thank you to everyone who so kindly donated to the Thurrock Foodbank this Harvest Festival via Quarry Hill Academy.
“The 314.1kg of food will be going to Thurrock residents referred to us in crisis.
“Huge thanks to all the staff, pupils and parents at Quarry Hill.”
The families, students and staff said they were happy to help out.
