A PROUD mum has praised her selfless four-year-old daughter for cutting off her long locks and raising money for the Little Princess Trust.

Evelyn Day-Hughes, from Hawkwell, decided she wanted to cut her hair off to donate to the charity so wigs could be made for children who had lost their hair due to being poorly.

After watching shows like Stand Up To Cancer, the four-year-old decided she wanted to do her bit.

Evelyn has now raised more than £2,000 for the cause after cutting her 26 inch long hair on Tuesday.

Her mum Jessica said: “We’re really proud of her.

“She is only four but has such a huge heart. It has made so many people smile knowing what she is doing and the money raised will help so many young people.

“I couldn’t be prouder.”
