The parents of a teenager killed in a crash in south Essex have paid tribute to their "loving and thoughtful" son. 

Archie Knight, 19, died after his motorbike, a black Honda, was involved in a collision with a car in Stifford Road, South Ockendon. 

Police and paramedics were called to the incident but Mr Knight was pronounced dead at the scene. 

In a statement paying tribute to their son, Mr Knight's parents said: "Archie was a caring, loving and very thoughtful child.

“His larger than life character was loved by many and will be greatly missed.”

Three people have so far been arrested in connection with the incident and have since been been released under investigation.

A police spokesman said: "Our enquiries are ongoing and we continue to appeal for anyone with footage of the incident or further information."

The crash happened around 1.40pm on Sunday, April 10.
