A GRAYS salon boss has praised an innovative new website geared up to revitalise beauty and hair businesses.

The Shortlyst has launched to champion small beauty businesses all over the county.

Led by businesswoman and managing director of JaxPr, Jacqui Sweeney, 30, The Shortlyst is the first Essex-based website to smartly display more than 1,000 beauty and hair businesses all in one place.

It is revolutionising the way customers find therapists and book treatments - while helping business owners easily connect with existing and new clients.

The Shortlyst features three types of memberships, including a free package – meaning its services are available to even the most new or freshly qualified worker, to more bespoke packages for established existing brands.

As the first business to sign up, owner of Charlotte’s Hair Salon in Grays, Charlotte Hind, said: “The Shortlyst is just what the beauty industry needs right now, a platform where we can advertise ourselves as a business and somewhere customers can find exactly what they’re looking for in a few clicks.

“The Shortlyst really appeals to me as a business owner because I can create my own page, advertising new services, special offers and last minute appointments all in one place.

“I’d definitely recommend checking out The Shortlyst for when you’re booking your next treatment!”

Brand ambassador for The Shortlyst Rosie Ward, 29, from Corringham, said: “I’ve not done anything like this before but when I heard about The Shortlyst and what it stood for I couldn’t imagine a company I’d be more proud to stand alongside.”
