THE Met Office has issued a yellow weather warning of for the south of England, including Essex. 

Spells of heavy rain may lead to travel disruption and flooding in places, forecasters said. 

The weather warning is in place from midnight on Wednesday until 3am on Thursday. 

It comes after floods this week which caused havoc on roads and railway and flooded some homes. 

What to expect

Flooding of a few homes and businesses is likely

Bus and train services probably affected with journey times taking longer

Spray and flooding on roads probably making journey times longer

Some interruption to power supplies and other services likely

The Essex Weather Forecasting Centre tweeted: "Attention now turns to next week which could see a named-storm bring severe weather to the UK. With an on-going flooding situation locally, big concern about potentially another 20-30mm of rain before next weekend."
