POLICE are calling on residents in the Braintree district to take extra care this morning after snow and rain caused flooding.
Officers from Braintree Police Station have issued the warning while sharing a photo of a vehicle stranded in Bulford Mill Lane in Cressing.
The road is completely underwater and officers are urging motorists to avoid the area.
They tweeted: "There is lots of localised flooding today owing to the weather. Please exercise caution and avoid Bulford Mill Lane in Cressing.
"There are multiple road closures in place by Police and Highways. Please allow extra time for your journeys today."
