The report, set to be discussed on December 2, also reveals Southend's highest rate of infection was reported at 181 per 100,000.

This number was hit due to a combination of events, with half term, Halloween, and  "rush to beat lockdown" all contributing to the rise in infection rates.

Bosses will tell councillors there is now a gradual reduction in the rate of infection.
