Daylight savings marks the official end of British Summer Time and occurs at 2am on the last Sunday of October.
This year the clocks will be going back an hour at 2am on Sunday, October 25.
Daylight savings brings darker, longer nights and shorter days - clocks will go forward again on Sunday, March 28 2021.
Clocks on smartphones and computers should update automatically but older analogue clocks and devices may need to be changed manually.

If you're into a bit of American country music then this could be the ideal way to enjoy that extra hour on Sunday.
The Huck Finn Jubilee is a Bluegrass music festival that usually takes place in Ontario, California. But due to the global pandemic we are able to enjoy the festival from across the world this year as it is being live streamed.
There will be live gigs along with classic sets from their past festivals, interviews with artists and prizes on offer.
Now in its 43rd year the festival welcomes on average 50,000 guests per year.

Houston Jazz Festival
Another state-side event for music lovers on Sunday is the famous Houston Jazz Festival.
In celebration of Art Blakey’s 101st birthday, this year’s festival will feature Bu’s Jazz Messengers.
The event will star past Blakey Music director Frank Lacy, Kansas native saxophonist Bobby Watson, Valerie Ponomarev, and Curtis Lundy.
Starting at 11pm this jazz concert is ideal for those looking to wind-away the weekend in style.
