TWO lanes are closed on the A13 following a two vehicle crash this morning.

The crash, between a car and a lorry, just before the M25 junction in Grays, has closed two lanes travelling westbound on the main road.

The closure has caused more than 20 minutes of delays for drivers, with queues tailing back to A1089 turn off.

Drivers have been urged to find alternative routes.

Essex Police remain at the scene.

The AA say the queues are growing, drivers are currently moving at around five miles per hour.

The crash, first reported at around 5.45am, is expected to clear around 9am.

A spokesman from Essex Police, said: "We are currently at the scene of a serious collision on the London bound track of the A13 in Thurrock.

"The road is closed while we deal with the incident. Please avoid if you can. Thank you for your patience."
