POLICE have issued a warning after fraudsters attempted to sell coats to shoppers in Rhyl.

North Wales Police tweeted on its Community Safety Central page that it received several reports of men trying to sell clothing from a vehicle on Tuesday, September 22.

Police said that one person was driven to their bank to withdraw cash to purchase an item.

A police spokesperson tweeted: We have had reports of people being approached by a number of males in a car who are selling coats. They were in Rhyl yesterday.

“They even drove one man to his bank to withdraw the cash.”

The police’s Take Five campaign advises people to listen to their instincts and stay in control if they have any suspicion they are dealing with a fraudster.
