Residents will be set for a day of delays this weekend as a main road though Halstead closes for works.
The A131 Trinity Street is a vital road trough Halstead with it being on the primary route through the town.
However, the road is set to close for roadworks this Sunday (September 20) which could cause major delays for residents in the town.
The road is being closed by UK Power Networks an stretches from just after the mini-roundabout junction with Kings Road, next to the Esso garage, to Trinity Street's junction with Butler Road.
The closure will be in place while workers perform an "electrical services upgrade"
Fortunately, the road is only due to be closed for one day.
The road closure comes after similar works on Head Street caused traffic chaos on Sunday 30 August.
For residents travelling through the town, they will be forced to find an alternative route for the day which could see them using residential streets such as Kings Road.
