THE council has unveiled 29 new homes on the site of an old social club.

Thurrock Council has handed over the keys to the homes at Alma Court, which is a development of the former Tops Club site in Grays.

Barry Johnson, councillor for housing, said: “The Alma Court development has provided 29 much-needed council homes for Thurrock residents that would give any private development a run for its money.

“These new homes are built to the highest specification and are sustainable, safe and spacious. Everyone should have a good quality home and the council will continue to invest in new homes for our residents.”
