A CHARITY is urging people to share their stories of coronavirus lockdown so future generations can learn about the pandemic.

Brighton education charity Gladrags and the East Brighton Trust will create a free booklet for schools documenting the experiences of residents during lockdown.

As part of the project, the group has teamed up with The Bevy pub in Moulsecoomb to set up a Wednesday lunch club for older residents to encourage them to record their memories of lockdown.

“Each week a few people can come together in The Bevy to enjoy a meal, a chat and some entertainment,” said Gladrags’ Vania Mills.

The deadline for submissions for Gladrags’ booklet is Friday. To find out how to get involved in the project, visit gladragscostumes.org.uk/covid-19-blog.

The Bevy’s Wednesday lunch club will have a limit on attendance.
