BRIGHTLINGSEA Regent have boosted their squad ahead of the new season after making a triple signing.

The Isthmian League Premier side have snapped up three new players, as boss Kem Izzet builds his squad for the 2020-21 campaign.

Adam Topley, Kane Gilbert and Khris Oti have all joined the R's.

Midfielder Topley has joined Brightlingsea from East Thurrock United.

He started out at Concord Rangers where he developed through the club's youth system going on to make more than 60 appearances for the Beachboys.

Topley has previously had loan spells with Brentwood Town, Aveley and Canvey Island.

Izzet told the Brightlingsea website: "I know Adam from my time at East Thurrock.

"Adam is a technical player that likes to control the tempo of game.

"He has a very good passing range and always wants to get on the ball."

Gilbert has arrived from Canvey Island where he made 44 appearances, featuring in every game last season for The Islanders.

The former Peterborough United winger also played for Halstead Town where he made 97 appearances, netting on 25 occasions.

"I'm pleased to get this one over the line to be honest," said Izzet.

"Kane is a technically gifted player who works hard, with an eye for goal too.

"I'm looking forward to working with Kane whilst helping him develop and progress in his football, I think he will be a great signing for us.

Brightlingsea have also snapped up striker Oti from Coggeshall Town.

Oti scored an impressive 19 goals in 28 appearances for Coggeshall United last season, in the Eastern Counties League South.

He previously featured for Brackley Town and was part of their 2018 FA Trophy-winning squad.

Izzet added: "Khris will be a great addition to our squad.

"He's quick, scores goals and makes things happen.

"Don't be fooled by the level Khris was playing at last season because he is far better than that. He was arguably the best player in that division!

"I think he will surprise a few defenders this season."
