A CAR caught fire in Basildon.
Emergency services attended the scene this morning in an industrial car park in Howard Chase, Basildon.
The single-car fire broke out in the car park at around 9.45am.
A fire engine was spotted at the scene to try and extinguish the fire.
A spokesman for Essex County Fire and Rescue Service said: "Firefighters were called to reports of a car fire in Chester Hall Lane, Basildon at 9.45am today (Friday 19 June)..
“Crews confirmed on arrival that around 25 per cent of one car was alight.
"The fire was extinguished by 10.02am.
"The cause of the fire has been recorded as accidental.
"The vehicle has been left in the care of the owners.”
