A MOTORBIKE rider kicked out at a family as they walked along the seafront.

Police have released an image of a man they would like to speak to in connection to reports of motorbikes being ridden dangerous at the Canvey seawall.

Two bikes were seen riding at speed on the seawall at Seaview Road between 1pm and 1.15pm on June 9.

A family were walking in the opposite direction and one of the riders was reported to have kicked out at woman in the group as he passed.

PC Ian Risden, leading the investigation, said: “This kind of thoughtless and dangerous behaviour puts people at risk of being seriously hurt. It is just fortunate the victim was not hurt.

“We have been carrying out extensive enquiries into this incident, but we have also been carrying out patrols and gathering information to deal with people who are riding motorbikes dangerously and anti-socially in Canvey, Thundersley, Benfleet and Hadleigh.

“Information from the public is really important to help us identify and deal with offenders and I ask anyone with information that can help with our enquiries to get in touch.”
