A CHILDREN’S hospice charity is set to host a unique balloon race in the hopes of raising funds.

East Anglia’s Children’s Hospices (EACH) cares for children from across north Essex who have life-threatening conditions and support for their families.

Now, to mark the Queen’s Coronation Day on June 2, EACH is hosting a virtual balloon race.

The charity’s race will see people buy virtual balloons which can be tracked via Google satellite and simulated like an real balloon race.

The race will begin at Westminster Abbey and will have real life weather conditions programmed to affect contestants’ virtual balloons.

Balloons can be bought and built for £3 each.

Prizes up for grabs are £500. To support EACH you can sign up to build a balloon at each.org.uk/balloonrace.
