A POLICE worker who takes a lead in missing person inquiries is up for a top award.
Maddy Hewitt, missing person liaison officer for Rochford and Castle Point, has been nominated for a British Association for Women in Policing award.
She said: “My job is quite varied and involves working with the local policing teams when someone goes missing and when they are found.”
She added: “Missing people are of all ages and generally more vulnerable due to health implications and age.”
