SOUTHEND United manager Sol Campbell felt Coventry City defender Fankaty Dabo should have been sent off in Saturday's League One clash at Roots Hall.
Dabo fouled Sam Barratt from behind in the second half having already been shown a yellow card.
And Campbell thought the full-back should have been dismissed.
“For me, he was sliding and he was out of control,” said Campbell.
“His studs were up and it was another yellow card really.”
Dabo was issued a final warning by referee Sam Purkiss before Coventry sealed their win with Maxime Biamou firing home after brushing Miles Mitchell-Nelson aside.
But Campbell did not feel the young centre-back was fouled by the French forward.
“It’s there to be won and it’s a probably a little bit of experience in that scenario,” he added.
