Pals - Georgina, known as 'G', is far left
Members of the club paid tribute to their teammate at a special training session dedicated to remembering her.
Georgina, who was from Benfleet, sadly died last year after a three-year battle with the disease. She was diagnosed aged 28.
Known to her teammates as “G”, she was described as a bubbly, loud and fun girl with a passion for netball.
Danielle Belton, the club’s chairman, said: “During her fight with cancer she continued to play netball and even won an award during the Southend District Netball League’s FastNet rally for the most long shots ever scored.”
“G is missed by everyone that knew her.”
