AN extra event has been added as part of a public consultation for a £99million link road.

Essex County Council welcomed a £318million government infrastructure funding boost in the summer.

One project benefitting from the funds would be an A120/A133 link road and rapid transit system in Colchester and north east Essex.

An additional Wivenhoe event has been added as part of the Essex Highways consultation.

The consultation is looking at options on proposals for a new dual-carriageway link road between the A133 and the A120, and the first stage of new Rapid Transit System (RTS) across Colchester.

The additional event takes place at the William Loveless Hall from 11.30am until 6pm today with a final event at Colchester Community Stadium, from 1pm until 8pm on Monday.

The consultation, which runs until December 16, looks at route options for both schemes ahead of more detailed design.
