AN air ambulance team is appearing on a TV show following the work of lifesaving medics.

East Anglian Air Ambulance is featuring on Emergency Helicopter Medics.

This is the third series of the show, which regularly pulls in more than 500,000 viewers per episode, the team has been filmed at emergency call outs during the summer.

Dr Pam Chrispin, deputy medical director at the air ambulance, said: “It’s fantastic to be able to share what we do through this programme which highlights the incredibly varied and challenging missions that we attend.

“Emergency Helicopter Medics gives the viewers a real insight into our work, how their donations help us to save lives by taking the A and E department to scene and it also highlights the serious nature of the incidents we attend and the impact that they can have on our patients and their families.”

The show airs on Sundays at 9pm on More4 and also features the Great North Air Ambulance and Thames and Valley Air Ambulance.
