POLICE rushed to a pub in Eastwood after two men targeted a van carrying the pub's takings.
Eye-witnesses reported that several officers had two males restrained in handcuffs at The Bellhouse pub, in Eastwood.
Armed police and unmarked police were present.
A spokesman for The Bellhouse, said: "Unfortunately our secure cash in transit van was targeted this morning.
"Essex Police attended the scene immediately and arrested the individuals.
"We would like to thank Essex Police for their assistance and our staff for their quick response and action.
"This was an isolated incident and service has now resumed as normal."
Essex Police have been contacted for comment.
