I recently had a need to request the services of an out of hours doctor, due to the fact that at 4.30pm my own surgery had no doctors on the premises to sign a prescription, apparently the surgery does have out of hours provision.

The doctors providing this service are not allowed access to the computers. Why?

Surely any background information about a patient’s condition is important.

I would feel a lot happier if my medical information could be accessed anywhere in the country and I could receive the relevant treatment more quickly.
