A LORRY driver was lucky to escape with minor injuries after his vehicle crashed into a lamppost and then a tree in Poole.
Hatch Pond Road was closed for around four hours after the crash this morning.

Police were called to the scene at 9.39am. No other vehicles were involved in the crash.
Officers attended and closed the road near Lidl.
Fire crews from Poole, Westbourne and Blandford also attended.

Dorset and Wiltshire Fire and Rescue Service said one person was freed before they were handed into the care of South Western Ambulance Service .
South Western Ambulance Service said they were called to the scene at around 9.40am.
A spokesperson said: "One male patient was treated by ambulance crews and then taken onto hospital."
Police said the driver has sustained minor injuries and was taken to Poole Hospital for checks.
Officers left the scene at around 1.50pm and the road closure has been lifted.
The electricity company is still on the scene dealing with the damaged lamppost.
