A MAN will appear in court today after a bank card stolen during a burglary in Westcliff was used at shop.
Albert Newton, 48, of North Road, Westcliff, is due to appear at Basildon Magistrates’ Court charged with burglary, fraud and handling stolen goods.
It follows reports that a bank card taken from an address in Canewdon Road overnight on Monday had been used to purchase items worth a single-figure in a shop in North Road at around 7.35am on Tuesday.
