A woman who admitted assaulting three police officers has been spared jail but must pay a fine and compensation.

Jade Roberts, 26, of Billericay, assaulted the three officers in Basildon on July 7.

She was arrested and charged with three counts of assaulting an emergency worker and appeared at Basildon Magistrates' Court on August 7 where she admitted each count.

Roberts was ordered to pay each officer £50 in compensation as well as an £80 fine and a £30 victim surcharge.

The bench also ordered her to pay £85 in costs bringing the total to £345.
