A MAN was arrested for multiple offences after a police chase broke out in Latchingdon.
Yesterday afternoon officers were called out to stop a vehicle driving through the village, near Maldon.
The pursuit ended in The Street, where a man was arrested by officers.

In order to stop the black VW Golf, "decisive action" had to be taken by one officer.
As a result, the front bumper of one vehicle was badly damaged.

Witness accounts said that three officers pinned a suspect to the floor before arresting them.
Multiple police vehicles were on hand to block traffic and force drivers to turn away from the incident as it continued until around 4.30pm yesterday.
A police spokesman said: "Officers stopped a Volkswagen Golf on the B1018 in Latchingdon at about 3.10pm on Monday 19 August.
"The driver, a 33-year-old man from Maldon, was arrested on suspicion of failing to stop when directed, driving while disqualified, dangerous driving and drug-driving.
"He remains in custody for questioning."
