Lloyd Rees, George Gilbert, Aled Jones and Hugh Prothero sheared 2,654 sheep in two-hour stints from 6am to 6pm on Friday, August 9, at Blaenbwch Farm, Maesmynis.
On average, the men successfully sheared each sheep in less than 49 seconds.
This was the first ever attempt to set a British record for nine-hour four-stand sheep shearing. The young farmers also broke the national YFC record.
It was estimated that more than 32,000 people watched the shearing event live on Facebook.
More than 100 people worked behind the scenes to keep the show going which has taken 10 months to plan.
The total amount of money that the event raised for five charities has yet to be revealed.
John Price, county chairman of Brecknock YFC, praised the event sponsors and all 14 farms which supplied the 2,890 sheep.
