A person has been taken to hospital with serious injuries after a crash in North Fambridge.

The incident happened at around 6.30pm yesterday (August 7) in Lower Burnham Road, near to North Fambridge Road.

Passers by reported police had closed off the road for sometime after the incident took place.

Other reports suggest one person was seriously injured during the incident, who was riding a motorcycle.

A spokesman for East of England Ambulance Service, said: "We were called yesterday (7th August) at 6.32pm with reports of a collision at Lower Burnham Road, Chelmsford.

"We sent an ambulance crew and an air ambulance from East Anglian Air Ambulance.

"One patient was treated at the scene for potential leg and back injuries.

"They were then transported to Broomfield hospital for further treatment and care."
