COULD you imagine living next door to Abdullah AlHassan Chowdhury?

Who? Check out our story on this week's front page.

This is a guy who clearly has scant regard for his neighbours in Chadwell St Mary.

He has 20 dogs. Who make a hell of a lot of noise.

His poor neighbours have had to log daily diaries listing the strain these out-of-control animals have put on their lives.

The RSPCA, Essex Police and Thurrock Council have all been blitzed with calls regarding his home for the past year now.

The council slapped a noise order on him which effectively tells him he needs to keep his pets under control.

But he didn’t and was summonsed to court.

However, he didn’t show up and was dealt with in his absence.

He was fined £10,000 for breaching the noise notice, three times – and he must pay more than £2,300 in costs.

Council leader Rob Gledhill said it was one of the worst noise nuisance cases relating to dogs barking the council has EVER investigated – and the authority is now poised to take further action in relation to nuisance caused by dog waste odour.

It’s right for the council, backed up by the police and RSPCA, to do all it can to not only to protect the animals, but protect the quality of life for those who live nearby.
