A YOUNG woman was rushed to hospital after a three-vehicle crash on the A13.
Emergency services rushed to the scene on the Southend-bound carriageway after the incident at 8.20am today.
Three vehicles, including one lorry, were involved in the crash.
A spokesman for Essex Police confirmed an 18-year-old woman was taken to hospital as a precautionary measure.
He added: "An 18-year-old woman, was taken to hospital for precautionary checks.
"The collision happened at 8.20am on the the southbound carriageway near to Bowers Gifford."
