reply to last week’s letter by Mr Ron Grimshaw, where he complains about Westminster not upholding the referendum result.
For many we feel aggrieved that such an important decision about leaving the EU was based on false information. That is the reason we want another referendum with the true facts on the table this time.
He refers in his letter to Christopher Brooker and Richard North’s book. Is he aware that both of these are global warming deniers, and Brooker has questioned the dangers of asbestos and passive smoking. Obviously ‘well informed’ writers!
Before Mr John Campbell, who also contributed a letter last week, considers it bad manners for me to comment on another nation’s politics, may I point out that, yes, I do have an Irish name, but was born here and my father fought in the Royal Navy during the War.
I know he would be horrified at what this country is heading for.
