POLICE SMASH: The car almost hit an officer at the scene
Police in Maldon and Chelmsford carried out more stop and searches in February than anywhere else in the county.
Officers carried out 268 stop and searches, with the Operation Raptor team regularly seizing drugs and weapons.
Chief Insp Gerry Parker said: "My officers carry out regular, proactive work to tackle anti-social behaviour and drug-related activity."
