A community football club has raised hundreds of pounds to help make the dreams of children with life-limiting illnesses come true.
Maldon and Tiptree FC raised £300 for the Make A Wish Foundation. The charity will use the money to support a young child who may be suffering from illnesses that could seriously shorten their life expectancy, giving them the chance to meet a hero of their own, or have an experience they will never forget.
Club chairman Ed Garty presented the cheque to Susan Ware, a representative for the charity, on Saturday at half time when the side hosted Basildon United.
