Maldon's Museum in The Park opens its doors for the summer this week.
Maldon Museum, in Promenade Park, will open up again for the season at 2pm this Saturday with a host of performances including from Christopher Foyle, the owner of Beeleigh Abbey, to coincide with his own pop-up display.
There will be a range of new exhibitions on display for the community to enjoy throughout the summer.
A spokesman said: “For the first time for some years, the museum’s collection of coins and medallions will also be featured.
“These are in addition to displays featuring the famous Pumper fire engine, Maldon railways, cinemas, the famous Fat Man of Maldon and much much more.”
Museum president Judy Betteridge and the team of volunteers spent the winter making improvements to facilities within the museum.
The group is also set to participate in the Essex Big Weekend, which also starts on Saturday.
Opening hours are from 2pm to 5pm on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays, as well as on Sundays and bank holidays from 11am to 5pm.
Admission is £2 for adults and children go free.
