Three bus routes in Thurrock will be affected by changes coming into effect at the start of next month.

The 374 bus service, which operates between Grays Bus Station and Basildon Bus Station, will now be supplied by NIBs buses.

Slight changes have been made to bus times but buses will continue to run at the same frequency.

NIBs buses will also now operate the number 11 service between Basildon Bus Station and Purfleet Station.

This will change to a two-hour frequency but will run on a longer route calling at Long Lane Thurrock Hospital; Fobbing, Corringham and Stanford-le-Hope town centre; and Abbotts Drive. This service will no longer stop at Crammavill Street Health Centre, Whitmore Avenue and Blackshots Lane, north of Long Lane.

The frequency of the 265 bus service running between Grays Bus Station and West Horndon Station remains unchanged but includes a route change to serve Thurrock Community Hospital.

It will no longer serve Baker Street or Stanford Road. This will now be operated by Stephensons of Essex.

Notices informing users of the change have already appeared on bus stops and new timetables, and route maps distributed to hubs, libraries, schools and GP surgeries.

Changes to the above routes have been made to ensure services keep up with present and future developments within Thurrock and continue to reach vital amenities.
