The Dartford Crossing has reopened after a car fire shut the West Tunnel.
It happened at about 5.30pm tonight.
The junction 21A slip road remained shut due to the tunnel shutting.
It caused major traffic delays for those heading into Essex from Kent.
Highways England posted on twitter that the road was safe.
DARTFORD UPDATE : BOTH TUNNELS NOW OPEN - TRAFFIC RELEASED - ALL SLIP ROADS ARE NOW OPEN TOO - SAFE JOURNEYS.
