GRAYS Convent High School has been awarded champion school status for its involvement in the National Citizen Service.
The school received the status in recognition of the continued support given to the scheme, encouraging more than 50 students to take part last year.
Over the course of four weeks, participants spend time away from home experiencing outdoor life to its full, working with businesses and charities.
