WORK has begun to demolish a sports pavilion.
Demolition vehicles and workers were spotted on site of the Blackshots Pavilion in Grays.
Thurrock residents and sports fans will have memories of many years and games at the sporting centre.
The Gazette understands works are underway to replace the building with a new sports centre.
The building is at the same site at the Impulse Leisure Centre in Grays.
Thurrock Gazette understands it is council owned, the council was contacted for comment.
