A man was suffered stab wounds to his chest and leg during an attack following an argument.

Police were called to High Street, Grays just after 9.15pm last night with reports a 37-year-old man had been assaulted following an argument with three men.

He suffered serious injuries to his leg and chest and was taken to hospital for treatment.

His injuries were not life threatening.

Officers carried out a search of the area for the suspects and enquiries to find them remain ongoing.

Police are appealing for witnesses and anyone with CCTV, dash cam or mobile phone footage. Call Grays CID on 101 quoting incident 1231 of 8 February.
