THE QE2 bridge of the M25 is closed this morning.
The bridge at the Dartford Crossing is closed due to high winds making it dangerous to drive.
All M25 clockwise traffic is being directed to use the east bore of the Dartford Tunnel, which is causing severe delays.
There are queues on the M25 back to junction 29 with the A127 and queues on the London-bound carriageway of the A13 from the A1089 Tilbury Dock approach road.
There are also queues on A1306 Arterial Road West Thurrock from A126 to M25 and surrounding roads in Thurrock and Purfleet.
Motorists are being advised to allow extra time to travel. It is not known when the bridge will be safe to re-open.
Update 1.30pm: The bridge has now been reopened but there are still delays in Thurrock and Purfleet around junction 30 and 31.
