BLUEBIRD CARE Thurrock and Castle Point are encouraging carers to take part in a random act of kindness.

The homecare provider which specialises in customers who live with dementia, physical disabilities and other chronic conditions, is fully behind the Random Acts of Kindness Week, which will run from Sunday, February 10 until Saturday, February 16.

Hoping to encourage kindness across schools, workplaces, families and society, the Random Acts of Kindness week promotes awareness of how rewarding acts of kindness are and how they can make a difference to the lives of others.

Alvin Osei-Tutu, Director of Bluebird Care Thurrock and Castle Point, said: "We are delighted to be supporting Random Acts of Kindness Week and we are encouraging our carers to complete one or more random acts of kindness.

"This can be anything, from offering your seat to an elderly passenger to helping someone do their shopping. The list is endless.

"Even a smile can brighten someone’s day. We believe that a little bit of kindness can go a long way in supporting others and uplifting their spirits."
