POLICE have renewed an appeal for witnesses after a man fell 30ft from a balcony at Westcliff Casino.

The 32-year-old man, from Grays, is still being treated in Southend Hospital after the fall, at 2.30am on Saturday, September 22.

He suffered spinal injuries, a broken right leg and a fractured pelvis after landing on the sand. The tide was out at the time.

Fire crews and the coastguard service helped paramedics carry the victim from the sand into the ambulance.

Police are investigating the incident.

They want to hear from anyone who was in the casino on the night, or anyone who may have witnessed what happened from the shore.
