WHY do we have to give up green belt land in Aveley which you can never replace?
Just to make fat profits for developers. They are using two brownfield sites Marley works site and Fords to build houses.
It looks looks good on paper but they want to build industrial units on Green Belt Land. Between the A13 and Purfleet Road close to houses, plus 380 houses on Green Green Belt on Aveley by-pass.
We will finish up the same as Chafford Hundred with more pupils than spaces. They will make promises of providing facilities in return for the give away of this precious green belt, ie a Health Centre.
Surely if this is needed it should be provided by the Primary Care Trust, and a youth centre by the Council.
When I was young the local school was always used as a youth centre.
My grandchildren are aged 20, 18, 15, and have grown up in Aveley never knowing a youth centre. I thought this was one of the things I paid rates and taxes for!
