BUDDING scientists were treated to a series of shows at the Gateway Academy in Tilbury.
A science outreach team from London's Science Museum visited the school and performed three shows.
The interactive event educated pupils on how food is broken down, how substances and materials change due to temperature, and different types of forces.
Principal Kevin Sadler said: "We have planned these events each fortnight throughout the year and anticipate that they will have a major impact on students' progress."
Wayne Harding, acting head of science, added: "The presenters were so impressed with the enthusiasm of our pupils they have asked to come back and trial two new shows for free.
"We feel this was a highly successful introduction to a novel approach to teaching and hope to continue these shows for further pupils coming to the academy."
