Officers investigating a serious crash in Stanford-le-Hope are appealing for the drivers of two cars to come forward.

Essex Police has released images of two vehicles that are believed to have passed through the scene of the crash, which occurred on Victoria Road at around 1.30am on Monday, December 31, and may have crucial information about the incident.

The incident saw a driver fail to stop, and has left a man in his 30s with life-changing injuries.

The driver has not come forward and no arrests have been made.

Police continue to appeal for five pedestrians to come forward.

Essex Police believes a group of up to five men befriended the victim at Stanford-le-Hope train station at around 11:15pm the previous evening, and may have accompanied him as he walked through the town, towards Victoria Road.

It is not known if the group were present at the time of the crash, but police believe they will hold valuable information about the victim’s movements beforehand, and police urge them to get in touch.
