MAUREEN Dawnes and Jeanette Shilling were the judges at Fobbing and Corringham WI Annual Craft and Produce Show. The trophy was won by Valeria Turner.
Due to their speaker unable to attend fellow member Eileen Bevan gave a demonstration on flower arranging. You do not have to use flowers in your arrangement as Eileen demonstrated with an all green basket with shrubs and plant foliage.
The flower of the month competition, a Fuscia, was won by Susan Smith.
The ladies forgot about their diets at the social afternoon when they tucked into a cream tea.
The next meeting to be held on October 9 at Corringham Village Hall at 1.45pm. The speaker is Bryan Tester Audio Visuals'. Flower of the month will be a Chrysanthemun.
