TWO men have been arrested after a vehicle failed to stop and rammed police cars in an attempt to escape.
Police attempted to stop a vehicle in Southend Road, Corringham, at around 9.30am yesterday.
The vehicle sped off with officers in pursuit.
They abandoned the vehicle in Wickham Road, Grays, and ran off but were later found hiding in a garden.
A 49-year-old man from Tilbury was arrested on suspicion of theft of a motor vehicle, making off without payment, criminal damage, failing to stop, dangerous driving and drug driving.
A 31-year-old man from Tilbury was arrested on suspicion of theft from a motor vehicle, making off without payment, theft of a motor vehicle, criminal damage, failing to stop and dangerous diving.
They have both been released under investigation.
