A GROUP has been given a boost of £420 by Thurrock Thames Gateway Development Corporation.
Thurrock Society for Artists with Disabilities received the grant and used it to pay for I.T and card making equipment, including specialist paper, card and envelopes.
This is the second grant the society have received from the Development Corporation after being awarded £563 in April this year.
The group, formed in April 2003, is based at Grays Adult Education Centre.
The grant is its share of a £360,000 fund, held by the corporation to help encourage and promote activities by voluntary and community groups.
Society chairman Peggy Randall, said: "The members of the society are grateful to the Development Corporation for their continuing support and generosity."
The artists' next exhibition will be in the New Gallery at the Thameside Complex, Orsett Road, Grays from Tuesday, March 25 to Saturday 29, 2008. For more details about the group call 01375 380624.
